I've always been fascinated by the creative potential of AI tools, and this series emerged from a deceptively simple question: What happens when you ask artificial intelligence to interpret one of art history's most technically accomplished styles with unexpected subjects?
Working with generative AI, I created a collection of images that reimagine Dutch Masters paintings with unexpected twists. The results are both bizarre and beautiful—Rembrandt's signature chiaroscuro and rich textures applied to subjects he could never have imagined painting, creating images that are intentionally playful while raising interesting questions about the intersection of art history, semiotics, and AI.
This project embodies my approach to digital experimentation: finding unexpected connections between traditional techniques and contemporary tools, while maintaining a sense of warmth and accessibility that invites viewers to engage with complex ideas through a lens of joy and discovery.
